Legal
Privacy, plainly.
EpisodeHouse is a cozy place, and cozy places don’t rummage through your things. This page says what we store and why, in plain language — because you shouldn’t need a lawyer to understand a living room. Questions? See our terms or just email us.
What we store
Your email address and a securely hashed password (handled by Supabase Auth — we never see the password itself). The profile details you choose to add: username, display name, bio, avatar, banner, and favorites. And the things you create here: watchlists, posts, comments, likes, bookmarks, and follows. That’s it — there are no hidden profiles built about you.
What we never do
No ads. No selling or sharing your data with advertisers. No tracking you around the web. No marketing emails. The only emails you’ll ever get are the ones the house needs to send — confirming your address or resetting your password.
Where your data lives
The database, authentication, and image storage run on Supabase. The site is hosted on Vercel. Transactional emails are delivered through Resend. Anime titles, posters, and details come from MyAnimeList via the Jikan API — nothing about you is ever sent to them.
What’s public and what’s private
Your profile, your posts, your comments, and any watchlist you set to public are visible to anyone. Watchlists set to private and your bookmarks are visible only to you. You can change a list’s visibility, or delete anything you’ve made, at any time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in. There are no third-party or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your content whenever you like. If you want your whole account and everything attached to it deleted — or a copy of your data — email hello@episodehouse.com and it’ll be handled promptly. No dark patterns, no “are you sure?” gauntlets.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date below will be updated and any significant change will be called out plainly. Last updated: July 6, 2026.
